Frequently asked questions
What is the Mail Score Test?
The Mail Score Test gives your sending email or domain a 0–10 health score across 26 industry-standard checks: SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MTA-STS, TLS-RPT, DNSSEC, BIMI, ARC, blocklists, content hygiene, and more. It reveals the risk of landing in spam folders.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Yes, it is completely free and requires no sign-up. You only share the email address where the report will be sent. Under GDPR Article 17 you can request deletion of your data at any time.
How long does it take?
About 20 seconds on average. When you send the test mail to our system, 19 RBL scans, DNS checks, and content analysis run in parallel; results are shown on screen and emailed as a PDF.
What checks are performed?
5 categories, 26 binary checks: Authentication (SPF, DKIM dual-sign + key strength, DMARC alignment) · Reputation (IP + domain across 15 RBLs) · Infrastructure (MX, MTA-STS, TLS-RPT, DNSSEC, FCrDNS) · Content (RFC 8058 One-Click, hidden text, HTML safety, URL shorteners, plain-text alt) · Best practices (ARC seal, BIMI, Message-ID, Reply-To alignment, display-name spoof detection).
Why a 0–10 scale?
The 0–10 scale is the industry standard and easy to understand. Sendnomi runs 26 checks, including extras tailored to the Turkish market (KVKK/GDPR-ready unsubscribe, DNSSEC compliance, charset detection, IDN punycode).
What happens to my data? Is this GDPR compliant?
Test data is auto-deleted within 48 hours; only the score and breakdown are retained. The mail body is purged. Public shareable report URLs never show your email address. Data is processed and stored in Türkiye.
Can I also run a domain health check?
Currently the active mode is a single mail-send test; a dedicated domain DNS health tool is on the roadmap. In the meantime, sending a real test email from your domain gives you a comprehensive check.
My score is low — what do I do?
Each failed check links to a "How do I fix this?" guide. The most common issues are missing SPF/DKIM/DMARC records, outdated TLS, or blocklist entries. Sendnomi Mailserver configures these automatically; expert support is available on the ENTERPRISE plan.
